Journalist and commentator Megyn Kelly hinted at a potential presidential run if Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) entered the race, accusing the progressive lawmaker of scapegoating young men. Kelly criticized Ocasio-Cortez for suggesting that Republicans have exploited a generation of young boys by promoting “unhealthy masculinity,” calling the claim “disgusting.”

On her podcast and radio show, Kelly alleged that Ocasio-Cortez and her allies “radicalized today’s young men” by blaming them for societal issues. She claimed that progressive leaders “demonized” male youth and dismissed their struggles, stating, “Your side demonized them at every turn and laughed when they ever dared to express any actual pain.”

Kelly also targeted Ocasio-Cortez’s comments about transgender children, accusing her of supporting “double mastectomies” for non-trans children experiencing emotional distress. She added, “If she runs for president, I might run,” vowing to challenge the progressive agenda.

The remarks followed Ocasio-Cortez’s recent critique of Republican policies during a CNN town hall, where she argued that the GOP has pushed young men into a “sphere of unhealthy masculinity and domination.” Kelly countered that Ocasio-Cortez lacks understanding of Republican men, asserting, “None of them would be seen with her.”

The discussion centered on tensions between progressive and conservative narratives on gender and politics, with Kelly framing her potential candidacy as a response to what she called the Democratic Party’s “insecure masculinity” rhetoric.
