Just when you think the left can’t get any more insane, they find a way to prove you wrong. In King County, Washington, the jail system has admitted to employing around three dozen illegal aliens as corrections officers to guard U.S. citizen inmates. State and federal laws prohibit hiring undocumented workers, yet officials have refused to terminate the employees and vowed to challenge the state’s regulations.

A whistleblower accused King County of unlawfully hiring immigrants as jail guards, alleging that individuals were hired with expired work authorization or temporary visas, violating Washington state law. The King County Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention (DAJD) confirmed it had incorrectly certified 38 employees under a statute requiring legal U.S. citizens to serve as corrections officers. Despite this, the department stated all staff are fully trained and authorized to work, pledging to fight legal actions while retaining the employees.

The DAJD claimed the hiring violations were an oversight, insisting the officers would remain on duty pending further discussions with state authorities. The scandal has sparked questions about compliance with laws banning the employment of undocumented workers, as officials refuse to address federal restrictions.
