Governor Tim Walz has openly mocked Attorney General Pam Bondi’s “sternly worded” letter sent to state officials during a press conference today.

In remarks that drew significant attention, Walz stated: “Tim Walz thinks he’s above the law because so far he has been.” He dismissed Bondi’s letter as an unserious attempt at addressing federal demands related to sanctuary cities and voter fraud allegations.

Walz insisted the attorney general’s claims of fraud were unfounded, noting that his administration had already provided requested documentation. “It’s not a serious attempt,” he said, adding that the demands did not align with reality on the ground.

When questioned about how his state would respond to Trump Administration pressures, Walz emphasized ongoing cooperation with local officials and pointed to the letter as part of a broader pattern of misinformation.
