The son of Robert Dorgan, the man who killed his ex-wife and 23-year-old son Aidan Dorgan during a rampage at a Pawtucket high school hockey game last Monday, Kevin Colantonio, has been jailed for attempting to burn down a predominantly Black church.

Colantonio, serving nearly seven years in federal prison, set fire to Shiloh Gospel Temple Ministries in North Providence. The Pentecostal church, which serves about 100 members mostly of Black descent, suffered significant damage after five fires were ignited by Colantonio, who poured gasoline around the base of the structure.

According to court records, Colantonio purchased a Bic lighter and $10 worth of gasoline prior to the attacks. His writings included disturbing statements such as: “Gun everyone down that isn’t white, if one is white spread the gospel” and “Eliminate Rich Snob global Elite Pastors, burn churches down to the ground.”

Colantonio pleaded guilty last year to malicious damage by means of fire and obstruction of free exercise of religious beliefs. He was sentenced to more than six years in federal prison for his actions.

Family records indicate that Robert Dorgan lived with Colantonio during their teenage years when he began cross-dressing. Robert Dorgan, who underwent gender reassignment surgery in 2020, has a documented history of antisemitic and racist online activity, including an anti-Asian slur after praising Adolf Hitler on social media.
