A new cybersecurity tool called “Scam Shield” has been introduced by an independent developer to help users detect and block phishing scams and financial fraud before they can cause significant damage.

The platform features a free message analysis function that scans emails, texts, and screenshots for potential scam indicators. Users receive detailed results within minutes of submission.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), cybercrime losses reached $16.6 billion in the previous year alone—a 33% increase from the prior year—underscoring the escalating threat of online fraud.

The developer emphasized that Scam Shield is designed for non-technical users and includes three core functions: message scanning, scam history tracking, and a live expert chat service.

Priced at $47, the tool also offers a gift option for family members who frequently ask about the legitimacy of unsolicited communications.
