President Trump will convene a rare Cabinet meeting at Camp David on Wednesday as negotiations with Iran reach a critical juncture. All cabinet members, including outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, are expected to attend the gathering. A White House official stated discussions will focus on recent administration successes in economic and small business initiatives, highlights from the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, and foreign policy updates.

The meeting follows escalating tensions after U.S. military operations against Iranian targets intensified. The United States conducted strikes on missile sites and boats in Iran’s southern region, which Washington described as “self-defense” actions targeting vessels allegedly laying mines. Iran has condemned these moves as a “grave violation” of an ongoing ceasefire. A White House official noted the Camp David location is weather-dependent, with Trump typically traveling by Marine One to the site if conditions permit.

Rubio expressed confidence in the administration’s approach to negotiations, stating there is “strong alignment and agreement on what a preliminary draft should look like.” He added that finalizing details would take several days, even down to minor language choices, emphasizing the outcome would be either “a good deal or there isn’t going to be one.”

The administration has also been highlighting efforts in affordability and other voter priorities ahead of the November midterm elections. Recent U.S. strikes on Iranian targets were followed by Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issuing threats targeting American military bases across the Middle East.
