Even when his then-wife was a top first-term spokesperson for President Donald Trump, attorney George Conway clung to relevance by hopping from one cable news outlet to another with his latest rant against the administration.

Fast-forward to 2026, and Conway is doing the same thing—but this time, it’s part of a campaign to represent New York in the U.S. House of Representatives.

In a recently aired 60-second ad on Monday, Conway addressed President Trump directly from the U.S. Capitol: “Hi, Donald. It’s me, George Conway. I cost you $88 million, and I’ve only just gotten started,” he said. “I know you like putting your name on everything from your plane to the Kennedy Center.”

“But the only thing your name is going to be left on when I’m done with you is the orange jumpsuit you’re going to have to wear in prison,” Conway continued.

“And you see that building back there?” he added, pointing to the Capitol. “That’s where we’re going to hold your third and final impeachment trial—the one that’s going to put you away for good, and I’m going to enjoy every minute of that.”

The White House responded with a sharp rebuke from spokesperson Davis Ingle: “Lightweight George Conway is a stupid person’s idea of a smart person. His severe and debilitating disease known as Trump Derangement syndrome has melted his brain and made him crazy in the head.”

Conway, who is seeking to succeed retiring Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) and represent New York’s 12th Congressional District, has drawn attention with this campaign ad. The incendiary rhetoric did not gain any new social media followers.
