Ever since Karoline Leavitt resigned as White House Press Secretary, President Trump’s former attorney Alina Habba has been floated as a potential replacement. During an appearance on Benny Johnson’s show today, Habba confirmed she is “absolutely” open to taking on the role if it is offered to her.

Earlier this month, Habba publicly denied being in the running for the position amid speculation she might become Trump’s top choice to replace Leavitt. However, she previously dismissed rumors by stating she was not competing for any White House job. “If I’m getting a new one,” Habba remarked on social media in August, “I’d love for one of these anonymous sources to let me know first.” She added that “fake news remains the undefeated champ … well … until I come at them.”

The White House has yet to name Leavitt’s replacement, though Trump’s silence has intensified speculation. Kalshi trade predictions previously gave Habba a 39% chance of becoming the official spokesperson before her August post. Since then, conservative commentator Scott Jennings and Anna Kelly, Leavitt’s principal deputy press secretary, have emerged as the new favorites—currently holding 27% and 6% odds respectively in betting markets. Other contenders include White House Communications Director Steven Cheung, political adviser Katie Miller, and communications adviser Margo Martin.
