Authorities in Glendale, California, are investigating a theft at a wedding where a suspect allegedly stole approximately $60,000 in cash and checks from a banquet hall. The individual, not invited to the event, entered the Renaissance Banquet Hall on August 31 around 12:50 a.m. and took a large box containing the funds before fleeing the scene.

Surveillance footage captured the suspect, described as a male in his 40s with a bald head, medium build, and of Middle Eastern or White descent, entering the hall, grabbing the box, and exiting quickly. Additional video showed him boarding a black Mercedes SUV that then drove away.

The bride, Nadeen Farahat, recounted the chaos after the theft was discovered, stating the event halted immediately. She described sitting on the dance floor in tears amid family and friends, emphasizing the violation of their private celebration. The suspect remained at the venue for at least 90 minutes, observing the proceedings before the heist.

The Glendale Police Department has not yet identified the individual, and the investigation is ongoing.
