The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced a massive operation in San Antonio, Texas, resulting in the arrest of over 150 illegal aliens. The operation involved 14 state, local, and federal agencies, leading to the arrest of more than 150 illegal aliens, including 27 suspected Tren de Aragua gang members. Law enforcement also seized cocaine, three firearms, and approximately $35,000 in cash.
The raid involved multiple federal agencies, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the FBI. Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated that “Thanks to the brave work of DHS law enforcement and our federal partners, 150 illegal aliens including 27 suspected Tren de Aragua gang members are off our streets.” She added that “Law enforcement officers also seized weapons, drugs, and $35,000 during this operation targeting an underground nightclub.”
Democrat lawmakers Joaquin Castro and others demanded answers regarding the raid, citing concerns over the chaotic scene involving teenagers and babies. They wrote to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, requesting details of the arrest warrant and information on those arrested, emphasizing the need for transparency.
