With the approaching anniversary of September 11, 2001, an increasing number of individuals have revisited the events of that day and the mysterious collapse of World Trade Center Building 7.
It is important to note that Building 7 was part of the World Trade Center Complex but was not near the Twin Towers. The Twin Towers were WTC 1 and WTC 2. It has been widely acknowledged, even by those who accept the official account of the attacks, that WTC 7 was never hit by an airplane.
The building collapsed later that day without being struck by aircraft.
According to the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), fires from debris falling from the North Tower ignited multiple floors of WTC 7. The automatic sprinkler systems on some floors failed due to damage from the Twin Towers’ collapse, allowing fires to burn out of control.
Heat from these fires caused steel support beams to expand, leading to a chain reaction that resulted in the entire building collapsing.
A study published in the Open Chemical Physics Journal in 2009 suggested the presence of thermite in WTC 7. Thermite is a mixture that produces extremely high temperatures and can melt steel.
Donald Trump, who has experience in construction, publicly stated that it was impossible for a plane to penetrate the World Trade Center’s structural integrity. He noted that the buildings were built with steel on the outside, which would make them incredibly strong against aircraft impact.
A report by researchers from McMaster University and others suggests that controlled demolition using explosives might have been involved in the collapses of WTC 1, WTC 2, and WTC 7. The authors argue that the speed and pattern of collapse are consistent with a controlled demolition rather than fire alone.
The report states: “there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives.”
This perspective has been contested by NIST, which maintains that fires were the primary cause. However, the study remains a point of discussion among engineers.
