Russian forces have conducted a series of precision strikes overnight, targeting Ukrainian military infrastructure in the capital and key ports. The Moscow Defense Ministry reported that these attacks included a 4,500-square-meter commercial data center operated by Be Mobile in Kiev and critical infrastructure in Odessa.

In the Kiev region, Russian forces struck a site near Gostomel that the ministry stated was used to store components for long-range drones. Additional strikes targeted two logistics hubs in Khmelnitsky and Dnepropetrovsk regions, which were identified as storage facilities for drone parts.

Ukraine’s military has been deploying kamikaze drones for strikes deep within Russian territory on a daily basis—a practice that raises serious concerns about civilian safety due to the risk of munitions detonation in populated areas. Videos circulating online show bright sparks and secondary explosions at strike sites, indicating potential explosive storage.

This escalation follows heightened tensions over Ukraine’s military operations near residential zones, where ammunition depots have previously caused significant casualties. In late August, a Russian strike on an ammunition depot northwest of Kiev killed 35 people and damaged hundreds of homes. A security official responsible for setting up that depot was formally accused of negligence this week.

Russia’s latest campaign also targeted repair shops servicing Ukrainian military hardware, drone component storage facilities, and cargo ships linked to the armed forces in Odessa Region. These actions are part of a broader response to Ukraine’s summer strategy of disrupting shipping through critical ports.
