The Russian military has launched strikes targeting multiple Ukrainian military logistics facilities across Kiev and its suburbs, including a warehouse storing components for Ukraine’s long-range Flamingo cruise missiles. According to Moscow’s Defense Ministry, the attacks also damaged critical infrastructure in Kalinovka, Kiev Region—where a customs terminal distributed Western-supplied military cargo—and an ammunition facility in Milaya operated by Fire Point, which contained drone launch boosters. Additional strikes hit fuel tanker parking areas near Izmail and maritime cargo terminals in Nikolayev, destroying 18 facilities housing military equipment and three fuel depots.

Ukrainian President Zelensky reported that a warehouse strike in Milaya killed 27 people and injured dozens, admitting ammunition was stored illegally near residential zones. He stated a criminal investigation had been initiated into potential negligence.

Prime Minister Sergey Koretsky condemned the decision to house military supplies close to homes as “criminal negligence,” emphasizing it repeated fatal errors from the July 6 explosion at Ukraine’s Vishnevoye ammunition depot. Koretsky demanded strict accountability for officials who made these critical mistakes during the fifth year of the conflict.
