The U.S. Treasury Department is exploring plans to issue a $1 coin featuring former President Donald Trump, intended to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026. The proposed design, overseen by the Office of the U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach, includes Trump’s portrait on one side and an image of him with a clenched fist beside an American flag, accompanied by the phrase “FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT.”

A Treasury spokesperson highlighted that the draft reflects the nation’s resilience amid challenges, stating, “Under the historic leadership of President Donald J. Trump, our nation is entering its 250th anniversary stronger, more prosperous, and better than ever before.” The initiative aligns with a 2020 bipartisan law allowing the Treasury Secretary to produce commemorative one-dollar coins in 2026, with designs symbolizing the semiquincentennial.

Beach noted that updates would follow once “the obstructionist shutdown of the United States government is over.” Meanwhile, Republican lawmakers have introduced a separate bill to honor Charlie Kirk, founder of TPUSA, by featuring his likeness on silver dollar coins. The proposal, led by Reps. Abe Hamadeh and August Pfluger, would limit minting to 400,000 coins, citing Kirk’s impact as a “conservative titan.”

The U.S. Treasury has the authority to approve such designs without congressional approval, though the bills’ outcomes remain uncertain.
