My friend MJTruth described tonight’s election results as “mostly a shit sandwich,” and he’s not wrong: I don’t believe for a second the outcomes are genuine, but on their surface, they are deeply troubling. However, is there something more significant at play here? Could this be a glimpse of how Midterms will unfold? I don’t think so, and Bill O’Reilly just shared insights that align with my own thoughts. This has nothing to do with the midterms.

The reason, he explains, is that so many developments are set to occur between now and this time next year. He suggests the country will be unrecognizable by then. While he can’t predict the direction of these changes, he emphasizes that numerous unresolved issues will shape the future. Key among them is the Supreme Court’s upcoming ruling on tariffs. O’Reilly argues the court will rule in Donald Trump’s favor, citing a 1974 law signed by Gerald Ford. He notes the court cannot alter existing precedent, only uphold it. While this decision may slightly limit Trump, it could also create space for tariffs to take effect within the next eight months, potentially lowering prices and benefiting citizens.

This, he asserts, is what the midterms ultimately hinge on—not China, not Putin, but economic policies tied to tariffs. O’Reilly anticipates a transition from the “rocky” 6-12 month period he previously forecasted, leading to a more stable future.
