A violent clash erupted outside a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event at the University of California, Berkeley, on Monday afternoon, as tensions flared between activists and supporters. The confrontation occurred moments before the final stop of TPUSA’s “This Is The Turning Point” tour, which was set to feature Dr. Frank Turek and Rob Schneider.
Footage shared on X captured a physical altercation between a TPUSA supporter and a far-left demonstrator, with one individual seen bleeding from the face. Local police intervened to disperse the crowd, which included protesters wearing keffiyehs and holding left-wing slogans. The situation escalated further later in the evening, with reports of the area resembling a “warzone.”
Prior to the event, three individuals were arrested following clashes outside Zellerbach Hall. Two were detained after a physical fight, while another was apprehended for attempting to breach barriers near the venue. A confrontation also occurred near TPUSA’s booth displaying “Freedom” T-shirts commemorating founder Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated at a campus event in Utah on September 10. Protesters shouted derogatory remarks and hurled objects, sparking further conflict.
The incident highlights ongoing unrest surrounding TPUSA events, which have drawn significant opposition from far-left groups.
