The Housing Secretary of the United States has shared his faith, emphasizing that Jesus Christ remains on the throne while serving the American people. During an interview on Fox News, Scott Turner openly expressed his belief in Jesus, stating that his goal is to create policies upholding Biblical values.

Turner has repeatedly shared his faith, detailing how God provided a dream at a young age, leading him to play in the NFL. At the Faith & Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority Conference, he spoke about experiencing trials and tribulations throughout his life, noting that without his faith in Christ, he would not be standing before the audience. He quoted Jesus as saying, “Don’t worry about the trials and tribulation,” adding, “I’ve already [overcome] death and Hell.”

Turner, a pastor at Prestonwood Church in Texas, described a spiritual experience during his parents’ divorce when he was 10. As he witnessed the family’s breakup, God placed a dream in his heart, which he said would have been abandoned without his mother’s encouragement to love Jesus. He recalled saying to his mother, “One day I’m going to play in the NFL, and I’ll take care of you,” highlighting that this vision kept him in faith through challenges.

Turner played college football at the University of Illinois and had a nearly decade-long career in the National Football League, including a 75-yard interception return for a touchdown in 2000. He reflected on moments when he felt forgotten and on the sidelines, waiting, trusting the Lord, and persevering through difficulty.

The article calls for more dedicated Christians in the Conservative movement, emphasizing the importance of Turner’s faith in his work.
