A growing trend among children chanting “six-seven” has been linked by some sources to rapper Skrilla’s song “Doot Doot,” according to research conducted by Pastor Nathan Bentley.

Bentley, a pastor in Arizona, reported that his children engaged with the chant and he investigated its origins. His findings indicate that the trend originated from Skrilla’s music and became popular after an NBA player’s height (6 feet 7 inches) was used in memes connecting it to the song.

Skrilla has publicly described practices within Santeria, a pagan religion that includes animal sacrifices such as goats and chickens. He states he performs rituals involving birth dates and names with animal blood to communicate with spirits.

The trend has also been associated with other celebrities, including Beyonce, who has stated she takes the form of Ochun, a goddess in Santeria linked to fertility.
