Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of former President John F. Kennedy, is exploring a potential run for New York’s 10th Congressional District seat, following Representative Jerry Nadler’s announcement that he will not seek re-election. The 32-year-old, known for his social media presence and political commentary, has not ruled out entering the race to replace Nadler, a long-serving Democratic figure.

Schlossberg, a Yale and Harvard graduate and son of former diplomat Caroline Kennedy, gained attention as a political commentator and YouTube host. He recently faced scrutiny for mocking First Lady Melania Trump in a viral video, where he impersonated her accent and criticized her letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin. In the clip, Schlossberg ridiculed the message’s clarity, joking about its lack of substance and referencing Trump’s meeting with Putin over the war in Ukraine.

The 32-year-old has also been critical of family member Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a Trump administration official and his cousin. Nadler’s decision to step down came as Democrats grappled with shifting political landscapes, with the representative citing a need to elevate new leadership after the 2024 election cycle.

Schlossberg’s potential candidacy has drawn mixed reactions, highlighting his unconventional approach to politics and public engagement.
