A man with a rifle painted to resemble the Joker from “The Dark Knight” was arrested after allegedly opening fire and running through traffic near the Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

According to authorities, the 36-year-old Arizona resident, Sean Steiner of Glendale, was found hiking in the area with a duffel bag and a step stool before allegedly running into traffic on Palos Verdes Drive South around 5 p.m. on March 29. He carried a loaded rifle that had been painted green and purple with the phrases “Why so serious?” and “HA HA HA HA.” The weapon also featured an orange tip, giving it a toy-like appearance.

Deputies discovered that the rifle was loaded with one round chambered and a full magazine inserted. A statement from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Lomita Station indicated that Steiner admitted to firing one of the pistols in the area to “get some anger out.”

Investigators also recovered multiple additional weapons, including two loaded handguns, high-capacity magazines, extra ammunition, a ballistic vest, and an AR-style pistol with an orange tip.
