MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has announced his running mate for Minnesota’s gubernatorial race, selecting former U.S. Navy intelligence officer Phillip Parish.

Lindell, who has been engaged in legal disputes with voting machine companies over claims that the 2020 election was compromised, launched his campaign for governor of Minnesota in December last year.

Lindell revealed on Monday that Parish, who had previously entered a bid for governor himself, decided to withdraw from the race to join him. “Just Officially Filed!” Lindell tweeted. “The two best gubernatorial candidates are joining forces! I’m honored to officially announce Phillip Parish as my Lieutenant Governor in my campaign for Governor of Minnesota.”

Lindell’s campaign released a May survey showing he would narrowly win the Republican primary with 21.3 percent support, compared to 19.4 percent for Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth. The survey, conducted by an internal polling group and involving 1,236 registered voters between May 18 and May 20, reported a margin of error of plus or minus 2.8 percentage points. A separate internal campaign poll indicated Lindell at 18 percent and Demuth at 17 percent. Prediction markets suggest Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth is favored to win the Republican primary with approximately 64 percent odds compared to about 22 percent for Lindell.
