Wrestling legend Ric Flair was rushed to a Florida hospital Friday after suffering a frightening fall outside a Tampa restaurant.

The 77-year-old WWE Hall of Famer reportedly sustained cuts to his head and one eye, with significant bleeding observed at the scene. Emergency medical teams transported him immediately by ambulance.

Flair had been dining at Wagamama in Tampa on Friday morning when he left his phone and drink behind, walked across the street, and then collapsed unexpectedly.

Earlier that day, Flair had posted on social media indicating he was dealing with a blood clot in his leg, which restricted his travel. His doctors had previously limited him to trips of three to four hours, making a scheduled Seattle appearance outside this window.

The incident occurred shortly after Flair announced his inability to attend the Seattle event due to the blood clot condition. In August, Flair had posted on social media stating that a “little blood clot” would not prevent him from traveling to Philadelphia.

No medical authority has confirmed a concussion or established the cause of the fall. Emergency personnel attended to Flair at the scene before loading him into the ambulance, and no hospital update was released as of this reporting.

Flair has survived major health crises in the past, including a life-threatening 2017 hospitalization. However, the visible injuries sustained during this fall—significant bleeding around one eye and head trauma—present serious concerns for someone his age who is also managing a blood clot.
