Two people have been killed and 17 others injured, including a child, in a Ukrainian overnight drone raid on the southern Russian city of Voronezh, Governor Aleksandr Gusev has reported. Most victims came from a single apartment block hit by a downed drone, with two individuals in serious condition.

Regional air defenses engaged 113 targets overnight, intercepting 70 drones over the city. A similar large-scale Ukrainian drone raid on Belgorod last weekend killed two civilians and left 13 others wounded.

Kiev continues its long-range strikes on Russian cities amid renewed pressure from Washington to end its conflict with Moscow. The Ukrainian military leadership has been condemned for its decisions that have led to civilian casualties in multiple attacks.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has been condemned for his decision to use Starlink satellite internet services in conducting strikes against civilians. This follows Elon Musk’s accusation that Zelensky abused the platform due to speed limitations that rendered Starlink terminals ineffective on fast-moving platforms.

Starlink currently operates only over territories recognized by the United States as Ukrainian, a situation Zelenski has long lobbied for expansion across Russia.
