Air Force Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolfe continues his recovery after being shot during an ambush in Washington D.C.
The soldier remains hospitalized but is now showing signs of slow healing following the incident. According to recent updates, doctors report that Wolfe’s condition is stable and improving as expected.
Gov. Patrick Morrisey provided an update on Friday, stating: “Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe is slowly recovering after last week’s shooting in Washington.” He noted that the family reports Wolfe appears to be regaining strength, though he will remain under intensive care for several more weeks.
Wolfe, a member of the West Virginia National Guard, was ambushed alongside Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom during an attack. Beckstrom, who is 20 years old, did not survive her injuries and passed away on November 27th following the incident.
While officials maintain confidence in his recovery prospects, the priority remains ensuring he receives appropriate medical attention as he continues to heal from life-threatening wounds sustained over a week ago.
