The footage captured from across the street details how Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal opened fire on U.S. soldiers following an altercation with civilians. According to reports accompanying the video, Lakanwal entered the country under a program related to events in Afghanistan during the withdrawal period and later overstayed his visa. Records show he was previously employed by a CIA-associated security force within the Afghan government.
