FBI Director Kash Patel disclosed that Tyler Robinson, the alleged killer of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, has remained silent during interrogations and has not confessed to authorities. Patel stated Robinson has shown no willingness to cooperate, leaving investigators without a direct admission of guilt.
Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed that Robinson, 22, was arrested 33 hours after Kirk, 31, was fatally shot in Orem. The incident occurred during an open-air event at Utah Valley University, where Kirk was speaking as part of the American Comeback Tour organized by Turning Point USA, the group he co-founded.
Cox noted that while Robinson’s associates, including his roommate and partner, are assisting authorities, the suspect himself has not provided any information. Earlier statements from officials suggested Robinson had been influenced by “leftist ideology,” though no direct evidence of this was presented.
Authorities continue to investigate the motive behind the shooting, with over 20 individuals identified as members of Robinson’s Discord chat. The case remains under active scrutiny as investigators seek further details about the circumstances surrounding Kirk’s death.
