Today in the Oval Office, President Trump was asked about Greta Thunberg, who was arrested in Israel and later deported. His response drew immediate attention.
“She’s just a troublemaker,” Trump said, mocking her shift from climate activism to commenting on the Israel-Palestine conflict. He added, “She’s an anger management problem. I think she should see a doctor. If you ever watched her, for a young person she’s so ANGRY, she’s so CRAZY! No, you can have her. She’s just a troublemaker.”
Thunberg was among 172 individuals deported from Israel to Greece and Slovakia after being detained for participating in a Gaza-bound aid flotilla. Israeli authorities confirmed the deportations, listing Thunberg alongside activists from multiple countries. Upon arriving in Athens, she criticized her treatment during detention but avoided detailing specific abuses.
Thunberg later released a video addressing her experience, though she did not elaborate on claims of mistreatment. Supporters greeted her at the airport with chants for Palestinian freedom.
