The FBI director has repeatedly highlighted the number “33” in recent speeches, sparking curiosity about its significance. During a recent testimony before Congress, Patel stated, “I’ve issued 33,000 pages to the United States Congress in seven months.” He contrasted this with his predecessors, noting that his predecessor issued 13,000 pages over seven years and another predecessor released 3,000 pages during a four-year term. Patel emphasized, “We’re gonna keep going,” while repeatedly stressing the number “33” as if to underscore its importance.

The director also delivered a sharp critique of political figures, calling Senator Adam Schiff a “fraud,” “disgrace,” and “political buffoon.” He accused Schiff of prioritizing “soundbites and money and power” over addressing real issues. Patel’s remarks included a heated exchange with Senator John Kennedy regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case, where he challenged claims that Epstein trafficked victims to others besides himself.

Patel defended his transparency efforts, stating, “I’m committed to this transparency,” while dismissing questions about cabinet members linked to Epstein as distractions. He concluded by asserting the FBI’s role in protecting the country and criticized opponents for focusing on past investigations rather than current reforms.
