A new video of Thomas Matthew Crooks, the individual who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump in July 2024, has been released. The footage shows Crooks, 20, practicing with an unloaded handgun in his bedroom. According to reports, these videos were initially shared online by Crooks himself but were later removed after he carried out the attack in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The FBI previously claimed Crooks had no significant digital presence, yet recent revelations suggest otherwise. A laptop analyzed by federal investigators revealed Crooks searched for “How far away was Oswald from Kennedy?” on July 6, 2024, just days before the assassination attempt. He also researched mass shootings, including the Oxford High School tragedy in 2021, and explored methods for constructing explosives.
Candace Owens obtained and published the undated clips, highlighting Crooks’ apparent obsession with violence. Despite the FBI’s assertion that he was unknown to law enforcement prior to the attack, questions remain about what else may have been concealed. Over a year after the incident, details about Crooks’ background—such as his brief appearance in a Blackrock commercial—continue to raise concerns about gaps in public knowledge.
