The FBI has stopped an alleged plot targeting President Trump’s UFC America 250 event at the White House, according to a federal criminal complaint and affidavit released on June 16.
The investigation began on June 10 when authorities identified plans for a coordinated attack during the scheduled event on June 14. FBI Director Kash Patel stated that rapid action by federal agencies led to a multi-state operation that resulted in multiple individuals being detained.
Tycen Proper, identified as one of the team leaders, admitted to developing detailed plans involving drones carrying explosive devices and snipers positioned along evacuation routes. The alleged plot aimed to detonate explosives near the White House lawn, forcing attendees and high-value targets—including politicians and wealthy individuals—to flee toward a staging area where members would conduct shootings.
Investigators found that Proper’s Apple iPhone contained Signal chats detailing specific sniper locations, drone launch points, and maps of the National Capitol Region. The communications occurred within an online group called “Vanguard of the Old” on TikTok, which included members with prior military experience operating in three tiers. Some group members expressed a desire to remove current U.S. leadership, citing ties to Jeffrey Epstein as part of their grievances.
The federal complaint lists four alleged offenses: conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder of a federal officer, possession of firearms in furtherance of violent crime, and receipt or transfer of firearms used in a felony. A California man named Michael Alan Thomas was also identified as one of the alleged organizers.
