New Jersey remains the epicenter of anti-law enforcement demonstrations as politicians and rioters disrupt civil society in the area around the Delaney Hall immigration facility.

As ordinary citizens attempt to go about their daily lives, one garbage truck driver held up by ongoing protests recently expressed frustration that resonated with many Americans tired of the left’s campaigns of chaos. In a video posted online, the driver for Elizabeth-based Regional Industries told demonstrators: “If I hit one of y’all, I go to jail.” The driver pleaded with protesters—who were demonstrating against conditions in New Jersey’s detention facility—to let him pass. “Come on, man,” he shouted before getting back into his truck.

Many demonstrators wore masks and goggles to protect themselves from pepper spray used by ICE agents. The driver was able to drive away.

According to a May 25 press release from the Department of Homeland Security, detainees at Delaney Hall receive three meals a day, clean water, clothing, bedding, showers, soap, and toiletries. Illegal aliens also have access to phones for communication with family members and lawyers. Certified dieticians evaluate meals, and ICE maintains higher detention standards than most U.S. prisons that hold actual citizens.

The DHS press release further stated that detainees at Delaney Hall receive “comprehensive medical care,” contrary to congressional Democrats’ claims. The release added: “For many illegal aliens, this is the best healthcare they have received their entire lives.”
