A Pennsylvania man was arrested after allegedly driving his vehicle into a metal gate outside an FBI building in Pittsburgh, according to federal officials. The incident occurred early Wednesday morning and is under investigation as an “act of terror.”

Donald Henson, a resident of Penn Hills, reportedly approached the main entrance gate of the FBI facility at approximately 2:40 a.m. at high speed, crashing into the barrier before fleeing the scene. Witnesses described the driver as incoherent and alleged he removed an American flag from his vehicle and placed it on a fence before leaving.

FBI Special Agent in Charge Christopher Giordano stated the attack was “targeted” and directly aimed at the FBI building. He noted that Henson had previously visited the site about two weeks prior to file a complaint, which officials deemed unfounded. Giordano emphasized the severity of the act, calling it an “act of terror against the FBI.”

Henson, identified as a former military member with known mental health challenges, was apprehended shortly after the incident. Authorities reported “some vulgarity” scrawled on his vehicle, though details remained unclear. No injuries were immediately reported.
