Kevin Spacey insists he has no home and is currently homeless, according to a recent interview with The Telegraph. However, the narrative surrounding his admission of living in hotels and Airbnb units raises questions.

The Oscar-winning actor, whose career was significantly impacted by sexual assault scandals involving Anthony Rapp during filming for House of Cards, made headlines when he declared himself “basically living in hotels” following reports that suggested he had fallen on hard times. Many outlets reported the story as his being genuinely homeless after years of professional setbacks.

Spacey initially pushed back against these interpretations, stating:
“It was a shame the Telegraph sold out their own journalist with a knowingly misleading headline for clicks.”
He felt that headlines exaggerating his situation were disingenuous and misrepresented him by implying he had nothing to do with this narrative distortion other than being “homeless.”

Despite media scrutiny over whether his claims align with reality, Spacey has framed his remarks as an attempt to clarify the story.
