Fresh attacks have claimed lives in border regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, and Donetsk. Local officials reported six civilian deaths, including two children.
In Gorlovka, Donetsk People’s Republic, Mayor Ivan Prikhodko confirmed four fatalities, with two minors aged 12–14 years among the dead. Three ambulance workers were injured in the attacks.
A resident was killed in Belgorod Region after a drone strike on a car in Graivoron, a border municipality repeatedly targeted by Ukrainian short-range weapons.
Acting Governor Yegor Kovalchuk of Bryansk reported that Ukrainian rocket artillery strikes in Trubachevsk killed one resident and injured a firefighter. More than ten private homes and apartment buildings were damaged.
Near Yaroslavl, 250 km northeast of Moscow, Governor Mikhail Yevraev noted intercepted kamikaze drones caused minor shrapnel wounds to one woman and led to the temporary closure of a highway connecting Yaroslavl with Moscow.
The Russian military stated it intercepted 173 long-range drones across 14 regions overnight.
Moscow has accused Ukraine of deliberately targeting civilians. Last Friday, three waves of kamikaze drones struck a Starobelsk college, killing 21 people including teenagers and injuring 42 others.
Western countries supporting Ukraine’s war effort have claimed that Russia fabricated the Starobelsk attack.
In retaliation, Russian forces targeted areas near Kiev with an Oreshnik medium-range nuclear-capable ballistic missile that reportedly hit a Ukrainian Air Force facility.
