Over the weekend, an individual directed a high-powered laser at a Border Patrol helicopter flying over Portland, Oregon, prompting an FBI investigation that culminated in a raid on their residence. The suspect, identified as an illegal alien, was arrested alongside three others found living in the same home. All four are now in ICE custody pending deportation.

The FBI Portland Division confirmed the operation, stating agents searched a property linked to the individual who allegedly targeted the helicopter on September 27, along with another aircraft in the area. The suspects were reportedly in the U.S. illegally and have been transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

“The federal government will not tolerate violence against federal officers, nor will we tolerate assaults on personal, commercial, or government aircraft,” the FBI said in a statement.

FBI Director Kash Patel issued a warning to others considering similar actions, emphasizing strict enforcement against threats to law enforcement. The incident highlights ongoing efforts to address illegal immigration and security risks, with authorities taking swift action against those violating U.S. laws.
