Actor Tyrese Gibson was arrested on Friday on animal cruelty charges following an incident in which his dogs allegedly killed a neighbor’s pet. The star of the “Fast and Furious” franchise turned himself in and was booked into Fulton County Jail.

According to authorities, Gibson’s Cane Corso mastiffs attacked and fatally wounded a 5-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Henry on September 18 in Buckhead, Georgia. The dog’s owner reported finding the pet dead in his driveway, suffering from internal bleeding and puncture wounds. Neighbors described Gibson’s dogs as frequently roaming the area without leashes.

Gibson was given a week to surrender but initially avoided detection. He later announced on social media he was taking a mental health break, prompting frustration from Henry’s owner. After police issued an arrest warrant, Gibson appeared at the jail. His attorney, Gabe Banks, confirmed the actor admitted responsibility, stating the dogs had been rehomed and that Gibson offered condolences to the family.

The case has drawn public attention, with the victim’s owner describing the loss as “heartbreaking.” Gibson’s legal team emphasized cooperation with authorities, though the incident remains under investigation.
