President Trump has announced he will personally open America’s 250th birthday celebration at the Great American State Fair after multiple performers withdrew from the event.
Freedom 250 confirmed that Trump will kick off the historic gathering on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. The withdrawals of artists including Morris Day and the Time, Young MC, the Commodores, Martina McBride, and Bret Michaels prompted the President to take center stage.
According to Freedom 250’s official page, the event will run from June 25 through July 10, 2026, on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The celebration features pavilions representing every U.S. state and territory, as well as performances by artists such as Fab Morvan of Milli Vanilli, Vanilla Ice, C+C Music Factory rapper Freedom Williams, and Flo Rida.
In a recent social media post, Trump stated he would be holding an “AMERICA IS BACK Rally” on Wednesday at the same location. He described the event as “a Wild and Beautiful Celebration of America.”
