A Hollywood actor was left bloodied after two masked men ambushed him outside an upscale grocery store in West Hollywood. The attackers brandished a handgun and knife, demanded his jewelry, struck him in the head with the gun, and escaped with his watch.

The victim is Keegan Allen, 37, best known for playing Toby Cavanaugh on Pretty Little Liars. Allen shared video from the immediate aftermath of the attack, along with surveillance footage that appeared to show the robbery unfolding beside his vehicle. His face and neck were streaked with blood as he asked someone nearby to call police.

Law enforcement responded shortly after 9 p.m. to the scene at the 8400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, where Allen had been loading groceries into his vehicle. Investigators reported that one suspect pointed a silver handgun while the other displayed a knife. The pair demanded his watch and bracelet before the gunman struck him in the head, opening a cut on Allen’s forehead.

First responders treated Allen at the scene, and investigators collected video evidence of the confrontation. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated that the suspects fled in an unknown vehicle, with the agency’s Major Crimes Division handling the investigation due to the violence involved.

Allen later posted online that he was hospitalized after the attack and believed he had suffered a concussion. He also described the incident as being far more serious than a simple loss of jewelry, stating that the masked men threatened to kill him over his watch and declared that West Hollywood was no longer safe.

As of Sunday, the search for the suspects remained active with no arrests made. Authorities have increased patrols in the Rainbow District and across the city following recent robberies. The attack is not connected to an October 2 incident involving another victim who was shot.

The footage remains difficult to watch, showing Allen complying as the attackers closed in until one of them swung a handgun into his head. The question now is whether the city’s license-plate cameras and increased patrols will help identify the perpetrators before another victim is left bleeding on a West Hollywood sidewalk.
