A major development has unfolded as Hamas announced its agreement to release all remaining Israeli hostages, including those who have died, in accordance with President Donald Trump’s proposed peace plan. The militant group stated it had conducted “extensive consultations” prior to accepting terms tied to Trump’s initiative for ending hostilities in Gaza.

Hamas indicated willingness to commence negotiations through mediators to finalize the arrangement, following a deadline set by Trump for Hamas to accept his 20-point ceasefire proposal. The Islamic group also expressed readiness to transfer administrative control of Gaza to an independent Palestinian entity, contingent on its formation through national consensus and support from Arab and Islamic states.

According to reports, 48 hostages remain in Gaza, with 20 believed alive. Two American citizens among the deceased are identified as Itay Chen, 19, and Omer Neutra, 21. Trump had previously warned that failure to comply with his plan would result in “all hell” descending on Hamas. The proposal was unveiled alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Hamas emphasized that broader issues regarding Gaza’s governance and Palestinian rights must be addressed within a comprehensive national framework involving all factions.
