The White House has officially appointed Katie Zacharia as its new press secretary following the resignation of Karoline Leavitt. President Donald Trump selected Zacharia, a conservative commentator who previously worked with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, after an unusually long period without a designated press secretary.
Zacharia is scheduled to begin her first briefing on Tuesday, October 13. However, she has entered the role with significant scrutiny due to her social media activity. A review of Zacharia’s posts revealed that she has repeatedly made unsubstantiated claims of pedophilia against prominent Democrats and shared conspiracy theories, including assertions that echo the debunked “Pizzagate” theory and describe Hollywood elites as “pedophilic cannibals.”
The review also documented that Zacharia promoted a post on Truth Social claiming comedian Joan Rivers died mysteriously after stating that former President Barack Obama was gay and former first lady Michelle Obama had a penis. Additionally, she wrote: “The radical left Hollywood elitists are sick pedo cannibals. Change my mind.”
