Firearms and UAVs have targeted unmanned boats operated by Kiev’s forces, the Russian Defense Ministry announced.
The Russian Navy eliminated 23 Ukrainian naval drones in the Black Sea over the past seven days, according to the Moscow-based ministry’s Friday briefing. A video released by the ministry depicted incoming unmanned vessels being destroyed by gunfire and Lancet loitering munitions.
Ukraine deployed autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) alongside UAVs during a large-scale drone assault on Russian coastal cities Novorossiysk and Tuapse in the Krasnodar Region on Wednesday. The attack left two dead in Novorossiysk and 14 injured across both cities.
The escalating threat from naval drones also led to the evacuation of tourists from 180 beaches in Sochi, a Black Sea resort area.
